Punjabi Cultural Society of Kamloops is a registered charity that builds community through education and helps people stay connected with their heritage. Located in the Southern Interior of British Columbia, the Society offers year-round opportunities for residents and visitors to experience Punjabi festivals, traditions, history, and community life.
We bring families and community together through cultural festivals, traditional and modern sports, youth participation, volunteer service, religious observances, and meaningful events rooted in Punjabi tradition.
Our purpose is to preserve and share Punjabi culture while creating a welcoming place for families, youth, elders, volunteers, sponsors, local partners, newcomers, and people of every background.
We honour festivals and occasions such as Lohri, Teeyan, Diwali, and Vaisakhi through prayer, ceremony, lectures, music, dance, food, and community gatherings.
Workshops, traditional games, races, tournaments, and youth activities allow people to learn by experiencing Punjabi culture together.
We work with volunteers, sponsors, families, and local partners to create respectful events that bring generations and cultures together.
